THE 2018 COMPETITION | RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Eligibility: any wine bottled in the United States or any international producer with the word “rosé” clearly included in front or back labeling. There are no limit to the number of entries
  • Categories: dry, sweet, sparkling
  • Entry Form: Through enofileonline.com and available online only, and required to be completed with fees paid by Monday, April 16, 2018
  • Entry fee: $65 per entry. No brand fee.
  • Wine shipment: Four 750 ml bottles per entry must be received at Wine Country Shipping by April 16th, 2018. Clearly mark boxes on all sides for : “Experience Rosé Competition.” Ship wine to Wine Country Shipping, 7686 Bell Road, Windsor, Ca 95492.  Wine Country Shipping can be reached at 707.836.7748.
  • Judging: held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Soda Rock Winery. Closed to the public. No visitors.
  • Awards and certificates: All winners receive a colorful and personalized 8×10 Experience Rosé certificate suitable for framing. Accolades are available for downloading, and bottle stickers can be produced on request.
  • Winning wines will be invited to pour at a new curated event, Experience Rosé: The Great Rosé Pairing of Summer, set for Saturday, June 16, 2018 at The CIA at Copia

 

  • Great Rosé Summer Pairing June 16, 2018 at The CIA at Copia, Napa
    • All winners are invited to participate in the public event, with preference given to Gold and above first, and as long as pouring station sites are available
    • Timing: Invitations to participate will be extended beginning Monday, April 23, 2018. All reservations to pour must be completed by Friday, May 25, 2018, and accompanied by high-res logos reflecting the producer’s preferred brand representation
    • Fees and certificates: All participants pay a fee of $100, and must submit a Certificate of Liability for $1 million
    • Announcement: All participating wineries will be announced via news release, on the website and through the Experience Rosé network on Monday, May 1, 2017
    • Load-in: producers are invited to load-in beginning at 7 am on Saturday, June 16, and may load-out immediately following the event close at 4 pm
    • Participants would provide:
      • Access to the Producers to send your Wine Club/Preferred Patrons list a brief promotional alert (provided complete and ready-to-go by the producers) on your participation in the event, extending a preferred rate offer.
      • A set of tasting notes and your high res log to be used in the official program, and due by Friday, May 25, 2018
      • Wine as needed to accommodate two-ounce pours for 400 guests where we expect 32-36 pouring stations. We estimate that at two to three cases
    • Producers provide:
      • Quality souvenir rosé tasting glasses for all event guests
      • A clean, table-clothed eight-foot table you will share with one other producer, located in one of four-to-six themed tasting areas, each tasting area anchored by a team of CIA students preparing bites in one of four to six different cuisine traditions (France, Italy, Spain, USA, Asia, etc)
      • Signage at your pouring station for easy visibility of guests in identifying your station
      • A dedicated crew of trained volunteers is assigned to meet you at the site to help you with load-in and load-out and tend to your own enjoyment of the event – running errands as might be needed, bringing food, spelling your pourers, etc.
      • All equipment needed for your pouring station: spit buckets, ice buckets, ice and compostables
      • PLEASE NOTE: For international and domestic producers unable to pour in person, we provide a trained volunteer, assigned in advance to your table and who will be in touch with you prior to the event for a briefing on preferred talking points.
      • Promotion: All participants are represented by tasting notes in a souvenir program booklet and branded tasting cards for their stations. Those notes will be due Friday, April 28, 2017
